Our Managing Director and lead consultant, Koketso Lediga, participated at the 2nd Project East Africa Summit held in Kampala. She moderated a panel discussion session that covered the roles and opportunities for private sector financial institutions in the power and energy infrastructure sectors to develop strong relationships with the government of Uganda and the wider region in Africa and building sustainable, beneficial frameworks with public and private sector partners. The panel consisted of representatives from UBA Group, Citibank Uganda, Standard Bank and RMB Merchant Bank. The 2nd Project East Africa Summit solely on the Financing of Power Projects and Energy Infrastructure throughout the East African trade block.
This year’s summit was held under the patronage of The Republic of Uganda, Office of The Prime Minister, with the endorsement of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives and co-hosted by the East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA), the summit returns to the region, as the platform for leading decision makers to engage with international and local investors and showcase the abundance of infrastructure opportunities available throughout East Africa.
