I have experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating standard form
and bespoke construction and engineering contracts, subcontracts, operation
and maintenance contracts, professional consultancy agreements for clients in the mining
and energy sector (including the current Renewable Energy
Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme).

I have acted for employers/developers, contractors, sub-contractors,
project managers, lenders, project companies and mining companies.

My work experience includes working for South African law firms and
an International law firm with offices in South Africa.

Pursuing a Master of Science in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution

My masters dissertation analyses various construction procurement strategies
such early contractor involvement and alliancing, as used in the United Kingdom;
and attempts to determine whether such strategies can be implemented in South Africa
to address the cost and time overruns issues that ail several construction projects.
